heard a funny noise while i was letting the dog out in the backyard. looked up in the tree to see some strange movement. ran inside to grab the camera and took a few shots. this is the only one that came out clear due to the very low shutter speed.

eventually the flash bothered it enough that it flew away.

depended on auto-mode cos i had other things to worry about. like i could barely see the damn thing through the viewfinder. just glad i got lucky enough to spot the bird since it was pitch dark out.



i've only seen an owl in my backyard once before, and this is making me giggle like a schoolgirl.
