Chickadees taking over E. bluebird nest boxes

Hi, I'm new to this forum and started getting into backyard bird watching last fall. I think I have become addicted. I have quite a few different types of feeders, bird bath, water fountain and bird houses. I live in SC and seen may types of birds in my backyard. I don't work so I spend alot of time watching my birds from my deck or sunroom when it's too cold to sit outside. Any way, one question I have right now is that I put up a bluebird box and the chickadees have built a nest in it and I do have the E.bluebirds checking it out also, so I went and bought a 2nd one, well the bluebirds are going to that one now, but the chickadees are here more often and now they are building a nest in that one also. Is there any way to keep the chickadees away from the 2nd box or will the bluebirds just take one of them over? If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I am limited on space in my yard as to where to place the nest boxes also. Thank you so much.

    hey lisa,

i'm not sure if there is anything you can really do about it.

it looks liek these boxes' dimensions will suit a variety of diff birds.
