I just found this forum and have enjoyed the posts that I have read. Great idea Gil, with a ton of potential! I am an avid birder (both backyard and in "wild" areas) My thing is photography more than just spotting.

Good for you, I'm sure that you will enjoy your Dslr. What did you get (brand, type, etc)?  Not sure that I am any kind of expert, but I will help anyway possible.

it's nothing fancy. a used Nikon D70S i bought off a friend and some very basic lenses.

i wish i had the time to go out and learn to use it better.  but i can't ever seem to find the time.
